A 3-man Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of United States has arrived Nigeria to commence Security Assessment of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos today, Monday January 6, 2020.
The team comprising Transportation Security specialists was received by Capt. Abdullahi Sidi, the Acting Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) at the Aviation House.
The Assessment which is expected to cover critical areas of the Airport will last 10 days.
While thanking the team for the routine visit, Capt. Abdullahi Sidi assured of the Authority’s readiness to ensure success of the Assessment, hoping to collaborate more closely with TSA to promote security in and around our airports.
Present at the brief meeting are Mr. Okplefu Akoja (Head, NCAA Aviation Security), Mr. Peter Amasa (Head, NCAA AVSEC Training & Certification), Mr. Sam Adurogboye (GM, Public Relations) and Engr. Mahmud Yakubu (Technical Assistant to the DG).
Representatives of Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) were led by Alhaji Zakari Mamuda Alhaji (GM, FAAN AVSEC, Operations) and Mr. Onoigboria Nathaniel (GM. FAAN AVSEC, Technical).
