Three senior Managers of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have bowed out of service. They are Mr. Anthony Meduoye, General Manager, Service Compact -SERVICOM); Mr. Johnson Adekola, General Manager, Administration (Lagos Regional Office); and Barrister Benson Akinde, the Company Secretary.
The three former managers were celebrated in a colourful send forth ceremony put together by the Directorate of Human Resources & Administration (DHR&A) at Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria Staff Canteen, NCAA Lagos Regional Office on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
Delivering his welcome address, Alhaji Wakil Adamu, the Director commended the managers, who in their various capacities, meritoriously served and contributed to the sustainable development of the organisation.
In that regard, the Director thanked the retirees for their services and commitment which have made them a role model, stating that celebrating them now is a testament that their contributions to their various departments, the Authority and the entire aviation industry at large have not gone unnoticed.
Other guests who delivered goodwill messages are Mr. Jok Shok, General Manager, SERVICOM; Engr. Samuel Ngene (Regional Manager, Lagos Region); Mrs. Ikwo Uloh, General Manager, Consumer Protection Department; Mr. Akinola Olaposi, Executive President of the Federal Ministry of Transport/Aviation Investment & Thrift Cooperative Society (FMT&A) who also doubles as an Assistant General Manager in the Directorate of Air Transport Regulation-DATR; Mr. Nnodim Alphonsus, Deputy General Manager & Head of Revenue Unit; and Mr. Yahaya Danjuma, Assistant Chief Administration (Security).
In their vote of thanks delivered in turn, the former managers thanked their colleagues for a befitting event and admonished them who are still in service to start planning for their retirement lest being caught unprepared.
Apart from the Alhaji Adamu Wakil, the Director, other senior management officers in attendance were Engr. Maude Zakary, ex-General Manager, Aircraft Standard & Approval (ASA); Engr. Samuel Ngene, Regional Manager, Lagos Office; Mrs. Emina Ojochide, General Manager, Human Resources; Mr. Vincent Onyeador, Deputy General Manager, Finance & Accounts; Barr. (Mrs.) Bukola Teriba, Deputy General Manager, Legal Department and Mr. Abu Yakubu, Assistant General Manager & Head of Accounts, NCAA Kaduna Region.
The highlight of the event was presentation of award plaques and gifts to the retirees was conducted by Mrs. Emina Ojochide (GM, HR). Afterwards, were group photograph session with colleagues and other family members.
The programme was anchored by Mrs. Fransisca Akpasubi, an Assistant General Manager in the Directorate of Operations, Licensing & Training Standards (DOLTS). Meanwhile, memberships of the Organizing Committee for event were Mr. Sowunmi Abdul-Rasak, Deputy General Manager, Head of Accounts, Lagos Region) and Engr. Sowemimo Modinat, Assistant General Manager in the Directorate of Aerodrome & Airspace Standards and Mr. Yahaya Danjuma. On the other hand, the Planning Committee has Mr. Abu Yakubu, Assistant General Manager & Head of Accounts, Kaduna Region); Mrs. Afolabi Monsurat, Assistant General Manager, Information & Communication Technology; Mr. Owowa Emmanuel, Assistant General Manager, Audit; Mr. Ijir Iorwuese, Assistant General Manager, SERVICOM; Mrs. Kemi Otubusen, Assistant General Manager, Aviation Security; and Mrs. Ibikunle Olabisi.
