The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), in partnership with Excellon Consults, has launched the ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management Guidelines to strengthen its risk governance. The initiative, which also marked the unveiling of the Project Committee to oversee its implementation, commenced on Monday, 14th April 2025, at the NCAA Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
While presenting its approach for integrating the ISO standard with NCAA’s operations, Excellon Consults reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a framework aligned with global best practices.
The landmark initiative, coordinated by the Directorate of Corporate Services (DCS), led by its director, Dr. (Mrs.) Rebecca Aghadinazu signifies NCAA’s focus on safety, operational excellence, and international recognition in aviation oversight.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Aghadinazu asserted that "achieving the milestone of ISO certification is very crucial to the Authority as it will provide a proactive approach to risk management at all levels, protect values, and support sustainable growth."
