The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is set to partner with the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) to address training gaps and generate revenue in the aviation industry.
This was made known, during a courtesy visit to the Director General, Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo in his Abuja’s office by the management of NCAT led by the Rector, Dr. Danjuma Ismail.
In his submission, he attributed the collaboration with the CAA to enhancing the skills and knowledge of aviation professionals, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations in a view to raising revenue for the institution.
He further added that the partnership will not only improve safety and efficiency in the aviation sector but also pave way for joint development of initiatives and sharing of expertise.
The Rector, also said that NCAT is planning to upgrade its infrastructure to meet training needs and is seeking NCAA's support for the project, potentially through corporate social responsibility or joint partnership.
While responding to the Rector's submission, Capt. Chris Najomo, the DGCA assured Dr. Ismail that the NCAA is willing to provide support and assistance to NCAT where necessary, underscoring the Authority's commitment to collaborative efforts that promote aviation development in Nigeria.
