AS ENGR BALANG MOVES TO AIRWORTHINESS STANDARDS
Alhaji Ahmad Abba, has assumed office as the new Director, Aerodrome and Airspace Standards (DAAS) at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), following a minor redeployment endorsed by the Hon. Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo.
With the new appointment, Engr Godwin Balang, the former DAAS, has been deployed to the Directorate of Airworthiness Standards (DAWS) as the director.
He takes over from the immediate past Director, Engr. Victor Goyea who would be taking a new role at Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) as the Director of Special Duties.
At a brief handover ceremony held at the Director-General's Board Room, NCAA Corporate Headquarters in Abuja today, December 24, 2025, Engr. Balang walked the new director through the core responsibilities of DAAS, the recent reforms and projections ahead.
Responding after the handover, Alh. Abba, who until his recent redeployment served as the Director of Special Duties at NAMA, promised to bring his vast experience to bear in sustaining achievements recorded so far in DAAS.
