The 2nd ICAO/EASA RSOO Forum for Global Aviation Safety aims to keep the momentum created by States, RSOOs and ICAO during previous ICAO high-level events (40th and 41st Sessions of the Assembly, High-level Conference on COVID-19 (HLCC 2021) and ICAO/EASA Conference on Strengthening Regional Cooperation (SRCC2022).
The 2nd RSOO Forum which was hosted by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority has the following objectives:
a) Update States, industry and international organizations on the relevance of regional cooperation and resources needed to reach sustainability;
b) Discuss the contributions provided by RSOOs to States to enhance safety oversight requirements and share success stories and challenges of RSOOs;
c) Emphasize the need to enhance regional and global partnerships, involving new stakeholders to address challenges that RSOOs currently face; and
d) Discuss practical steps for the way forward, sustainability for all regional mechanisms on safety oversight, as well as accident and incident investigation.
