The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, received the newly redeployed Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Aviation & Aerospace Development, Mahmud Adam Kambari, at the NCAA Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
Capt. Najomo delivered opening remarks, providing an overview of the NCAA’s mandate, regulatory framework, and its role in ensuring safety, security, and efficiency in the aviation sector.
He also highlighted key achievements, including progress in safety oversight, consumer protection, and regulatory compliance, reflecting the Authority’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
Mr. Kambari expressed appreciation for the reception, emphasising collaboration, capacity building, and alignment with national aviation objectives. He commended the DGCA and management for their achievements and reaffirmed the Ministry’s support for robust oversight.
The Permanent Secretary was accompanied by the Directors of Air Traffic Management (ATM), Ahmed Tijani Muhammed; Press & Public Affairs, Mr. Chindaya Ahmadu Audu; Human Resources Management, Ejike Osibe; Reform Coordination, Innovation and Service Improvement, Adediji Franscisca; and other senior officials of the Ministry.
Senior NCAA officials present included the Directors of Legal Services (Barrister Mary Tufano-Eche), Human Resources and Administration (Dr. (Mrs.) Anastasia Gbem), Aerodrome and Airspace Standards (Alhaji Ahmad Abaa Mni), Finance and Accounts (Mr. Olufemi Y. Odukoya), Aviation Security Regulation (Dr. Omogo Bernard Onwe Chinedu), Airworthiness Standards (Engr. Balang Godwin), and Public Affairs & Consumer Protection (Mr. Michael Achimugu), alongside other senior officials.
