In accordance with the NCAA training policy documented in the FSG TGM Chapter 11 Inspector Training System, the airworthiness inspector must be trained in the training category Indoctrination, Certification, Surveillance, Personnel Licensing, Investigation, and given training on Management and Job Skills categories as functions demand. The training categories the initial and recurrent training that airworthiness inspector must be given throughout the career. As airworthiness inspectors progress in their career, they develop and achieve a wider spectrum of the competencies that needed to be maintained. The DAWS PPM requires airworthiness inspectors to be scheduled for a minimum of one refresher training course every year and when an inspector holds licenses on a number of aircraft, he should be scheduled for refresher/recurrent training on different types each year wherever possible.
