The Air Navigation Standards Department in the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority is responsible for safety oversight functions with regards to the provision of Air Navigation Services in Nigeria. The Department carries out Safety Oversight functions on:

2. Aeronautical Meteorological Services
3. Aeronautical Information Services
4. Aeronautical Telecommunication Services
5. PANS-OPS Flight Procedure Design Services
6. Aeronautical Charts and
7. Aeronautical Search and Rescue Services.
