Mr. Michael Achimugu
Michael Achimugu is a renowned media strategist and crisis communications expert. A graduate of Mass Communication from Kogi State University, Anyigba, he was a Public Relations Officer at the Nigeria Customs Service, where he also became the Service's first-ever social media officer.
Prior to working at the NCS, Achimugu was with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps where he served in the Operations and Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) respectively. Subsequently, he went into private practice, establishing a multimedia management firm, April 12 Multimedia Ltd and providing world-class media solutions to VIPs and organizations.
Mr. Achimugu was the first and only Nigerian thus far to work as a media consultant/strategist to three presidential candidates in the same election cycle.
A good team builder/ manager, Achimugu is a multitalented writer, editor, director and producer. He comes highly recommended by some of Nigeria's high-profile politicians and technocrats, including a former Vice-President and a former Deputy-Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu.
Before his appointment as Director PA & CP, Michael Achimugu was Deputy General-Manager, Public Relations, at NCAA and Special Assistant on Media (later Customer Relations) to the Honorable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN.
His goal is to become the best media strategist in Africa and to help place his organization at the peak of global civil aviation.
His hobbies include singing, producing documentaries, and solving problems.
